A preserved nature and a rich and varied cultural heritage
Numerous hikes and walks are possible from St Michel, its villages and hamlets to discover its natural and cultural heritage. Cups, engravings, dolmen are to be discovered on the two archaeological paths of the village of Le Thyl. La Tour Ronde, the central part of a medieval castle, overlooks the old town. The church of the village of Beaune is the Baroque jewel of St Michel.

Sporting events!
In the heart of the largest cycling area in the world and close to the Galibier, St Michel de Maurienne regularly hosts the biggest cycling races: The Critérium (2019), The Tour Savoie Mont Blanc (2018), The Tour de l’Avenir (2020). The Tour de France passes very regularly, St Michel was its logistic base during the 18th stage Embrun-Valloire in 2019.
It is partly thanks to these renowned cycling races that the Beaune and Beau Plan passes, on the slope facing the Col du Télégraphe pass, have found their place in the road book for cyclists.

At the gateway to the Haute Tarentaise and the Mont Blanc massif, at the foot of prestigious Alpine passes prized by cycling enthusiasts, Bourg Saint Maurice combines all the services of a modern town, with a tourist offer that meets the needs and desires of everyone.

Enjoying an international reputation, particularly in winter thanks to the resort of Les Arcs, it is also a popular summer destination on the edge of the Vanoise National Park.

Capital of the Haute Tarentaise, Bourg Saint Maurice has made its heritage a charming asset.
The presence of an international whitewater base, sports and leisure facilities, numerous hiking trails and a tradition of original and varied events contribute to its success.

An exceptional base camp, Bourg Saint Maurice is only 7 minutes from the resort of Les Arcs, thanks to the funicular, a French exclusivity!

Les Arcs is 4 high altitude sites with different atmospheres (Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 Le Village and Arc 2000), an exceptional resort and playground where sports, well-being, entertaining activities, Savoyard gastronomy and all kinds of festivities are combined!

In summer, you can choose to live at the rhythm of nature through a multitude of outdoor sports and fun activities for young and old alike with the “HERO Les Arcs” offer (tennis, circus, climbing, zumba, swimming pool, trail, archery, mountain karting….), ride on the Bike Park and its numerous marked itineraries from 2600 m to 800 m altitude, hike on more than 200 km of trails between the Vanoise National Park and Mont Blanc, enjoy an 18-hole golf course overlooking the valley…

Les Arcs, it is also its location on a balcony which offers a large amount of sunshine and unequalled panoramas opening onto the Mont Blanc massif and the Haute-Tarentaise valley, its innovative architecture labelled 20th century, the will of a group of avant-garde builders led by the genius of Charlotte Perriand, its accessibility which makes it the only resort in France which can boast of being directly connected by train and funicular from the European capitals!

And when winter comes, it is the promise of varied skiing on the second largest ski area connected to the world “Paradiski”, with its 425 km of slopes, over 70% of which are above 2000m altitude.
