Deceuninck Quick Step Pro Cycling Team becomes Tour de l’Avenir’ partner

As part of its contribution to the development of cycling sport and the promotion of young talents, the Tour de l’Avenir will develop a partnership with Deceuninck Quick-Step pro cycling team from the next three years.
Final of the UCI Nations’Cup, the Tour de l’Avenir takes on riders under-23 and it represents the real future of cycling sport.
Since 2012 the race is organised by Alpes Velo with the support of Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) and of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) who provide financial, logistical and human means to carry on the demanding organization of this race alongside economic partners and territorial communities.
The investement of Deceuninck Quick-Step pro cycling team will allow the Tour de l’Avenir to bring, in connexion with the athletes’ staff, technical means, expertise and support to young non-european riders for their preparation and participation in the event.
« The commitment of Patrick Lefevere and his team confirms the interest and goodwill of cycling sport stakeholders towards the Tour de l’Avenir which has revealed so many champions since its creation in 1961 and is, even today, an important step for young talents, in all continents, on their way to the top-level. Giving them the opportunity to succeed is our common guideline » said Philippe Colliou, race director.
The 54th Tour de l’Avenir will take place from 15th to 25th August, from Aquitaine to the Alps.
